CARE THROUGH ACTION

This year, Care Through Action held a documentary photography exhibition in San Francisco and raised $8,000 to build a safe house for women and children who are victims of sexual violence in the Congo. Working with HEAL Africa to monitor the project, the Nyamilia Safe House in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo was completed August 2009 and is already providing a safe place for women and children in a critical area.
